So, Lord Ganesh Ji stopped him from entering. But Lord Shiva tried to convince him but Ganesha Ji did not agree with Lord Shiva. At this, Lord Shiva cut off the head of Ganesha Ji with his Trishul after a long combat between him and his Sena.

Mata Parvati, who was bathing, suddenly came out and when she was known the whole incident, she was enraged at Lord Shiva. However, Lord Shiva promised her consort that her son god Ganesha will be lived again. Finally, an elephant head was cut off by Lord Brahma Ji and it was jointed by Lord Shiva to the body of Ganesh Ji. and brought him back to life. This brought the life to the dead God Ganesha Ji. That elephant was a Brahmin in his past birth and he had prayed to Lord for gaining wisdom and knowledge.
